Carolyn Hatje Serre Deahl, 87, of Moline, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2019, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m.; Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. Visitation will be 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019.

Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where Carolyn was a member. Carolyn was born on September 30, 1931, in Laurium, Michigan, the daughter of William H. and Erna K. (Kauth) Hatje.

She married Richard J. Serre on June 24, 1950, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1993. She later married Robert L. Deahl on June 7, 1997, in Moline.

He preceded her in death on April 23, 2013. Carolyn enjoyed camping and traveling and was formerly active with the Hickory Grove Lake Association in Lake Warren, Illinois. Survivors include her children with Richard Serre; Rick (Jan) Serre, Moline, and Carolynne (Ken) Franks, Garland, TX; grandchildren, William O. (Susan) Serre, Sherrard, Christopher D. (Brooke) Franks, Texas, and Emily N. Franks, Texas; great-grandchildren; Max & Alex Serre, Braden, Kinley, Hudson Franks, Ryland Franks, and sister, Barbara Kiser, Lexington, Kentucky.

Bob’s children; Rebecca Bertram, Madison, Wisconsin, Cynthia Deahl, Juneau, Wisconsin; Bob’s grandchildren; Robert D. (Stephanie) Kalabus, Springfield, IL, Kiersten (Darrell) Lynch, Springfield, IL, Elizabeth A. (Fiance, Alex Vedvik) Bertram, Wausaw, Wisconsin; Bob’s great-grandchildren; Landon, Kaylee, Livia Kalabus; Colten, Isabella, Griffen, Savannah Lynch; Alexandria Vedvik; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands; Bob’s daughter, Susan Kalabus; Bob’s son-in-law, Andrew Kalabus; and Bob’s grandson, Christopher R. Bertram.
