Carolyn Dot Barfield, surrounded by her family, entered into heaven on November 30, 2018 and is now at peace with her Heavenly Father. Carolyn will lovingly be remembered by her husband of 64 years, Franklin D. Barfield; their children, Kenneth Barfield, Bonnie Pena and husband, Joe, Robert Barfield and wife, Nancy, Angela Neal and husband, Chris. Carolyn will also be fondly remembered by her eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Carolyn was born on July 18, 1935 in Madison, NC. She graduated from O’Keefe High School in Atlanta, Georgia. She also met the love of her life in Atlanta.

Because of her husband’s military career, Carolyn traveled and lived in many places and finally made Fayetteville her home in 1954. Carolyn was a devout Christian and enjoyed attending and being involved in the ministries at Arran Lake Baptist Church. Carolyn will be remembered for being a loyal wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Her family brought her great joy. Her kind heart will be missed by all who knew her. A visitation will be held at Rogers and Breece on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 7 pm to 9 pm.

A service to celebrate the life of Carolyn will be at 1 pm on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Arran Lake Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Carolyn’s name to Arran Lake Baptist Church, 1130 Bingham Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
