Carolyn’s Obituary Carolyn A. Shilale, 76 of Worcester passed away surrounded by loved ones Sunday, May 19th, 2019. Born in Worcester, on February 3rd, 1943, the daughter of John P. and Eleanor (Moberg) Shilale. She attended commerce high and has lived here all her life.

Carolyn had a talent for decoration and found so much joy and excitement designing and completing requests for cake decoration and design over a 62-year span beginning at the age of fourteen for many bakeries including Gerardo’s. Carolyn also worked the past 30 years for the University of Massachusetts before retiring. Carolyn’s life partner and love Thomas M. Griffiths passed away in 19.

She is survived by her devoted son, Chad Griffiths with whom she lived, her best friend whom she considered a daughter, Sharon M. Beer; her stepchildren, Michelle Bello of Worcester, Timothy and Scott Griffiths of Leicester, and Jeffrey Griffiths of Charlton; Many extended family members and friends. Carolyn Loved to create and decorate cakes and found it a challenge and most time succeeded in her quest. She enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel, Christmas moves, crafts show, playing cards, vacationing in Rye, N.H. and especially loved animals.

Funeral services and burial will be private. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Memorial remembrances in her name can be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, Holden Street Worcester or the NEEDS Service dogs, P.O. Box, 1100, Princeton, MA 01541.
