Obituary for Mrs. Carolyn Ruth Nielsen Carolyn Nielsen, age 90 of Bloomington, passed away Friday, September 14, 2018. Carolyn will be remembered for her love of square dancing and traveling with her husband “Sweeny” as well as her love of joining clubs and being social. Carolyn, an RN of over 30 years, met her husband during World War 2 when she was working as a candy striper student nurse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Soeren “Sweeny” and her parents. She will be missed by her children Kurt, Karen, and Joyce. A funeral service for Carolyn will be held Tuesday September 18, 2018 at 11 AM with a visitation starting at 10 AM at Transfiguration Lutheran Church, 11000 France Ave S. Bloomington.
