Obituary of Carolyn Marie Custer Carolyn Marie Custer, 75, of Fairfax Dr. died on Wednesday May 8, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Schenectady, NY on Sept. 26, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Frederick W. and Judith Grell Droms.

Carolyn was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School and Mildred Elly Business School in Albany. She had been a secretary for the GE in Schenectady for over 25 years and then with Ayco in Colonie, NY. She was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club and the Clifton Park Senior Citizens.

She enjoyed a game of chance visiting racino and casino’s . She was a volunteer with Captain in Clifton Park and played the Mah Jongg game weekly at the Sheldon Hills Club House in Halfmoon. She is the beloved wife of Fred B. Custer whom she married on April 2, 1987; devoted mother of Debra Ann (Dave) Lindsay of Scotia, NY and Frederick W. (Jessica) Arnold of Galway, NY; step mother of Kenneth F. (Debra) Custer of SC, Brian A. (Maria) Custer of Queensbury, NY and Jennifer E. (Paul) Graffeo of Albany, NY; twin sister of Linda Platel of Poughkeepsie, NY; Cherished grandmother of Eric Bode and Kristen Bode; also survived by her step grandchildren, Kyle Lindsay, Michael and Douglas Custer, Brian Todd and Mark Custer, Theresa and Laura Graffeo; she is also survived by a step great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held on Monday at 11:30 am from the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065. Calling hours will be from 10:00 – 11:30 am Monday in the funeral home prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Clifton Park Center Baptist Cemetery, Clifton Park, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Captain Community Human Services, 5 Municipal Plaza Suite 3 Clifton Park, NY 12065.
