Carrie B Ezell was born January 7, 1942 in Choctaw County, Alabama to the union of Edmond and Sarlestine Ezell. She was the third of five children. Carrie believed in God and read her bible daily.
She was a member of Clark Road Baptist Church where she rededicated her life to Christ and was baptized on Easter Sunday on April 3, 1983 with her husband Louis. She attended high school at Choctaw County Training School in Lisman, Alabama where she graduated with honors in 1960. Carrie believed in academics and education.
She then graduated from cosmetology school and became a licensed beautician. After deciding that she no longer wanted to do hair, she attended Calumet College where she received a certificate in Accounting. She used her education in Accounting at Kmart where she was employed as an Bookkeeper.
Upon retirement from Kmart in 1998, Carrie decided to become an entrepreneur and opened her own beauty salon which was named CBS Hair Studio in East Chicago where she also resided until her death. a wife and a mother While living in Cromwell, Alabama, Carrie B Ezell met Louis Spear. Shortly afterwards, they were joined together in holy matrimony on May 24,1958.
They were married for almost 61 years. They had two children, Lori and Chris in their union. Later, they adopted Camron Boone Spear.
Mom had a very special affection in her heart for Camron. Leaving Alabama, they made their home in East Chicago, Indiana as a young couple. Some years later, they decided they wanted to be home owners and bought a house in Gary, Indiana.
Upon her retirement, they purchased another home in East Chicago, Indiana in 1989. Carrie loved Lori and Chris and was always there for them no matter what she was doing. She lived her life such that she was never too far away or gone from them for too long.
Carrie was very kind and devoted. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Although she passed so unexpectedly, those close to her knew they were loved.
Carrie touched many people in her life, and we are all better for having known her. She kept an immaculate home and was a wonderful cook. Everything she did she did in the spirit of excellence.
She had a huge giving heart. She open her home to many of her relatives and friends and they loved her for it. who will be missed Carrie succumb to Renal Kidney disease and Dementia on May 21, 2019 in the comfort of her home which she loved.
She passed from this life in the afternoon after a decline in her health. She had been supported by her loving family and her faithful caregiver, Tyrone Robinson, during the last days of her life. Carrie will be cherished in our memories.
Although she was ill, she was very, very appreciative of us all. She was kind. She expressed her love for us daily.
She was always saying THANK YOU, I LOVE YOU and I APPRECIATE YOU! Carrie’s memories will be cherished by her husband Louis Spear; their children Lori Dee Lane (Ronald) and Christopher Louis Spear; her adoptive son Camron Boone Spear; her six grandchildren: Ronald II, Stephen and Ashley Lane; Tiah, Tavein and Mia Spear; her four great grandchildren Justice, Ronald III, Abinea and Onyx; a host of in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Proceeding Carrie in death are her parents Sarlestine and Edmond Ezell, her two sisters Mattie B., Lula Yvonne, and two brother Hardie Lee and Wille Louis.
