Mr. Carrol Cecil Chesser of Evergreen passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 at UAB University Hospital. He was 79. Mr. Chesser was selected for the Alabama all state football team and a graduate of Red Level High school in 1957.

He loved the Alabama Crimson Tide. He also enjoyed antique cars, firearms and fishing. He owned and operated Dixie Chips from 1977 until 2003 when he retired.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am. , Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Cope-Keahey Chapel. Rev.

Doug Darby and Bro. Vern Klinger will officiate. Interment will follow in the Brownville Outreach Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm. , Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home. Survivors include, Wife of 43 years, Lynda B. Chesser of Evergreen, Son, Russell Brent (Kimberly Ann) Chesser of Troy, Daughter, Sherry J. Chesser of Milton, FL Brother, Ken (Melisa) Chesser of Georgiana, Yvonne Smith, of Daphne, Joyce Rhyne of Montgomery, and Linda (Jerry) Bassett of Montgomery, Grandchildren, Zackary Brent Chesser, Nikki Chesser, Savannah Chesser, Brittany Ward (Alex), and Tristan Pengenika.

Great-Grandchildren, Clayton Chesser, Aaron Chesser, Colton Chesser, Keagan Ward, and Noah Ward. Mr. Chesser was preceded in deat by his son, Chadwick David Chesser, Brothers, Griel Chesser, Morris Chesser, Bob Chesser, and Sister, Wilma Dean McIntyre. Pallbearers will be, Zackary Chesser, Tristan Pengenika, Marc McIntyre, Keith McIntyre, Joe Jones, Randy Jones, Dean Peevy and Winton Bush.

The family will receive flowers or memorial contributions can be made to Gideon International or St. Judes Hospital.
