Catherine’s Obituary Catherine A. Barton, age 82, passed away peacefully March 8, 2019 at Angela Hospice in Livonia, MI. She was born October 10, 1936 in Hamilton, OH, the daughter of Gladys and William Lauer. Catherine was a Registered Nurse for most of her adult life.
She served many, many people throughout the United States. She started her nursing career as a traveling nurse, administering care in many different places throughout the country. When her time as a traveling nurse came to an end she settled on living in Detroit, MI area.
She found employment with the Ford Motor Co She was hired as a nurse to the employees in the National Parts Distribution Plant in Livonia and worked there for nearly 20 plus years before she retired. Although she was divorced and had no children, she leaves a long legacy behind of caring for people.
All the employees she helped at Ford were grateful for her compassionate care she delivered each and every time they needed her. Catherine’s friends can pay a final respect to her on Monday, March 18 from 10-1 pm at the funeral home. Her final resting place will be in her hometown cemetery, St Stephen Cemetery in Hamilton, OH on March 19 at 2 pm.
