Obituary for Catherine Chernesky Catherine Chernesky, 94y, of Medina, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Brookdale Medina South. Beloved sister, godmother and aunt to many. She was born as one of 12 children to Alex and Julia Chernesky of Starford, PA on September 4, 1923.

She worked tirelessly at GE for 40 years in the lighting assembly line. She lived most of her life with her dear sister Anne in Mayfield, Ohio until her move to Parma and then to Medina. She devoted her time and kindness to her extended family and was loved by her church (St. Michael’s Orthodox Church).

She was a beautiful sweet aunt who loved spending time with her many nieces and nephews. To all whom she has loved so much, we are thankful for all the happiness and joy she has given to us throughout her life, and a very loving wish from her “second niece” Sandy, it was a pleasure and honor to care for such a wonderful aunt, “you are at peace now”. She is also survived by her siblings, George Chernesky and Barbara Supra.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alex & Julia and the following siblings, Mary, Helen, Annie, Julia, Joseph, Elizabeth, Dora and just recently her dear sister Margaret. The Bohurjak and many other family members would like to thank the devoted caregivers and nurses of Brookdale Medina South and Brookdale Hospice for their amazing care, love and support. We cannot express our appreciation to them enough.

Visitation SUNDAY, 2-4 PM WITH PARASTAS AT 4 PM AT Archangel Michael Orthodox Church. Funeral Services Monday, JULY 23, 2018 AT 10 am AT ARCHANGEL MICHAEL ORTHODOX CHURCH, 5125 EAST MILL RD, BROADVIEW HEIGHTS 44147. Interment at St. Theodosius Cemetery.
