Catherine Walsh, 88 a former longtime resident of Taghkanic, NY passed away on Friday April 19, 2019 at the Rose Castle of Citrus County in Lecanto, FL. She was born on June 17, 1930 in New York City to Augustine and Helen (Pray) Fogerty. Before relocating to Florida Catherine had been employed as a personnel supervisor at the Kimberly – Clark Paper Mill in Ancram, NY.

She and her husband also operated the Taghkanic Motel from 1970 – 1984. On September 19, 1959 she married Lawrence J. Walsh, Mr. Walsh who was the former Town of Taghkanic Supervisor pre deceased her in 1995.
