Catherine M. Mindler 84, of Catawissa, went to be with the Lord, Saturday December 22, 2018 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by her family. She was born July 21, 1934 in Atlas Pa; one of sixteen children of the late Pantaleon and Elizabeth (Kovach) Coladonato. She attended Roaring Creek School.

Catherine worked for Streaters in Bloomsburg until it closed and bartended at many establishments in the area. She belonged to The Women’s Pool League in Catawissa. She enjoyed going to flea markets, baking, sewing, cooking, and playing card games.

Catherine loved to entertain friends. She enjoyed going to laundry mats, as she said to go “treasure hunting”. Catherine will be lovingly remembered for her generosity, hospitality and dedication to her family.

Catherine is survived by three sons; Lamar R. Mindler Jr. wife Kathie of Morley, Michigan, Lawrence M. Mindler wife Angela of Coal Township, PA, Matthew P. Mindler of Catawissa, twelve grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, two sisters; Rita Romeo of Berwick, and Rosemarie Schoch of Elysburg, and companion Harold Ray Johnson for over 35 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by eight brothers; Carmen, Edward, Joseph, Fred, Michael, Richard, Bernard and Pantaleon Jr., five sisters; Marie Coladonato, Veronica Brassington, Elizabeth Llewellyn, Jeannette Boguslaw and Florence Sedor. Memorial services will be held Saturday January 5, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa with Pastor Chris Dunlap officiating.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home. Family and friends may send online condolences to allenrhornefuneralhome.com.
