OBITUARY Catherine P Constantine October 2, 1927 – July 10, 2018 Catherine Popson Constantine 90, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2018. Catherine was born October 2, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA, the oldest daughter of Stephen Popson and Angeliki Manolakis. Catherine grew up in Pittsburgh, graduated from Peabody High School in 1946 and married the man of her dreams, Gus Paul Constantine in 1950.

She lived in Akron, Ohio with her family until retiring to Florida in 1985 making her home in Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens. She and Gus were married over 60 years until Gus’ passing in 2012. She loved to entertain, to be entertained and to spoil those she loved.

Catherine had a large network of friends and in her last years enjoyed playing bridge, going to exercise, baking, watching her TV “shows” and of course, shopping. She was full of life, and taught all who knew her how to love. Catherine was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her sisters Donna Thomas and Lucretia Casmedes and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins She will be forever missed by her three children, Thea (George) Chalikis, Stephanie (Rick) Ford and Paul Constantine; her grandchildren Kathryne (Essam) Shomali, Nikolas Constantine, Katie (Robert) Montgomery, her “adopted” son Jack Martin, her “adopted” grandchildren Megan Ford, Etzer Botes and Tony Johnson and her three great grandchildren Ryan and Claire Shomali and Nomi Zahara Botes-Johnson. The family wishes to thank Trustbridge Hospice Sunflower Team for their dedication and care they provided to Catherine; and to her friends for their love and support. At Catherine’s request, a private family service will be held at Saint Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church in West Palm Beach with inurnment at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta.

A Celebration of Life luncheon for invited friends and family will be held at a later date. In her honor, donations may be made to Bartz Camp Scholarship of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Akron, Ohio, or Saint Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church in West Palm Beach.
