Catherine’s Obituary Catherine Collins Scoblick, 74, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her loving family. A lifelong resident of Archbald, she was the daughter of the late John Collins and Helen Barrett Collins. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, John “ Sambo” Scoblick.

Together they lived a love story spanning 51 years. They built their legacy on Archbald Mountain raising five children and never leaving each other’s side. Cathy was blessed with an imagination and wit that left a trail of smiles wherever she went.

She was a graduate of Archbald High School and a graduate of the Mercy School of Nursing. Her compassionate nursing care was a beautiful reflection of her profession and her faith. The consummate caregiver she combined skillful nursing with an unconditional respect for human dignity, touching the lives of every patient or person she encountered.

A devout Catholic, Cathy was a member of Christ the King Church. She lived her life guided by her faith and found happiness spreading joy to anyone around her. A devoted mother and grandmother she was an avid reader, a masterful storyteller, and a lover of imagination.

Nana entertained us all and taught us the secret of living in the moment. She is survived by her five children: Catherine Genco and her husband, Gerard; Michael Scoblick and his wife, Tammy; John Scoblick; Tanya Novelli and her husband, Walter; David Scoblick and his wife, Amy; and her thirteen grandchildren: Samantha, Jessica, Nicholas and Gianna Genco; Corinna, Krista and Matthew Scoblick; Jack and Ella Novelli; and Anna, Kate, Lily and Amy Scoblick.
