Obituary for Catherine Turner Guthrie Catherine Marie Turner Guthrie, 83, of Greer, SC, died Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Manning Place. Born August 16, 1934, in Ely, Nevada, she was the daughter of the late Llewelyn and Cora Gable Turner and widow of Lt. Col.

Clarence Luther “Luke” Guthrie, Jr., USMC (Ret. ). She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her children, Anna Guthrie Irmiter (Kevin), Rose Guthrie, Dr. Linda Fuqua (Kevin), Cindy Grice (Mark), Will Guthrie (Susan), Clarence Luther “Luke” Guthrie III (Phyllis), Robert Guthrie, and Roger Guthrie; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and brother, Ted Turner. A graveside service was conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 3, 2018, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd. , Spartanburg, SC 29307.
