Catherine’s Obituary Catherine M. Zuber, 68 years, of Pingree Grove, Illinois died January 8, 2019 at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Illinois. Catherine was born November 15, 1950 in Fremont, Nebraska to Frank and Agnes (Vavak) Vyhlidal. She lived in the Morse Bluff, Nebraska area and graduated from North Bend High School in 1968.

She attended business school in Omaha, Nebraska. She moved to Illinois where she was employed by United Airlines until she retired. Catherine married Richard Zuber on July 11, 1970 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Cedar Hill.

She was an accomplished needle worker, in quilting, needle point, knitting and crochet. She helped with Quilts of Valor and was very generous with her time and talents. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Elgin, Illinois.

A memorial service was held January 15, 2019 at Laird Funeral Home in Elgin. The Father Rosinski presided. She is survived by daughter, Debra Zuber of Illinois; sister, Vicki (Gaylen) Swartz of Malmo, Nebraska; special friends, Joanna and Ron Garand of Tennessee; two nieces; one nephew and many friends.

Memorial Mass will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, at Cedar Hill near Morse Bluff. The Revs. Fr.

Benjamin Rynearson and Fr. Dennis Hunt will officiate. Rosary will be at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service.

Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery at Cedar Hill.
