Cathy’s Obituary Cathy Ann Kull, 68 of Hurdland, Missouri passed away Saturday (January 26, 2019) in St. Joseph, Missouri. The daughter of Lyle and Alice (Bloom) Carter, she was born November 20, 1951 in Kirksville, Missouri. On August 11, 1973 in Bloomfield, Iowa she was united in marriage to Earl Kull.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Earl; her children, Trent Kull and wife Sabrina of El Paso, Texas, Troy Kull of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Kayla Bennett and husband David of Stark City, Missouri; 8 grandchildren, Anthony, Brie, Ethan, and Christopher Kull, Kylie, Colton, Bonnie and Gwen Bennett; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Linda Lambert of Dunlap, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Cathy graduated from Kirksville High School in 1969.

She graduated from Northeast Missouri State University in 1973 with a B.S. in Education and Industrial Technology. She taught for 2 years at Macon County R-IV, 3 years at Brashear, Adair County R-II and 22 years at Schuyler County R-I until she retired in 2000. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kirksville, Adair Lodge #96 IOOF, MSTA and NEA.

She enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed car shows, auctions and flea markets. She taught knitting, crochet and needle work from the age of 8.

She loved her horses, Peanut and Brandy and her service dogs, Butterball, Curly, and Daffodil. Visitation with the family will be from, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Sunday (February 17, 2019) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Funeral service and IOOF service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday (February 17, 2019) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Fred Royer officiating.

Entombment will be in Maple Hills Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorials in memory of Cathy are suggested to American Cancer Association, American Diabetes Association, Autium Society of America, or Kirksville Baseball Softball Association.
