Obituary for Cathy Lee Welsh Cathy Lee Welsh, age 61, of Alliance, passed away at 6:15 p.m., Sunday, October 2, 2016, at Altercare of Louisville. She was born May 28, 1955, in Youngstown, Ohio, to William and Shirley (Baldinger) Welsh. Cathy was a 1973 graduate of Marlington High School and attended Ohio State University.

She made her career in the United States Air Force and served at Eglin Air Force Base in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and after her retirement she lived in Denver, Colorado. Cathy is survived by her mother, Shirley (Welsh) Cook of Alliance; daughter, Carla Halpern of Colorado; and four grandchildren, Savannah, Laura, Elyse and Milo.

Her father, William Lee Welsh and brother, William Thomas Welsh, preceded her in death. There will be no services or calling hours. Arrangements are by Walton-Schrader Funeral Home 1131 W. State St. Alliance, OH 44601.
