Cerie Jill Sorensen, aged 75 of Grand Rapids, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019. An avid gardener, Cerie spent her days caring for her cats, Finn and Jenga, and numerous houseplants that brought light and life into her Michigan home. Cerie worked for many years at Steelcase/Eurest and formed many close friendships with her coworkers over her time there.

To her grandchildren, she was a confidant, a supporter, and a friend. Those who remember Cerie remember her kind smile, her dedication to honesty, and her liveliness until the very end. Cerie was preceded in death by her parents John and Mildred Morgan.

Cerie is survived by daughter, Kathleen Manuel; two sons, Dan (Maura) Sorensen, Duane (April) Sorensen; nine grandchildren, Meghan, Patrick, Eva, Noah, Nathan, Jessica, Alicia, Tara, Bradley; brother, Kim (Susie) Morgan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be a Memorial Service for Cerie Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods 8214 Pfeiffer Farms Dr SW Byron Center, MI 49315.
