Obituary for Charles A. Peters Charles A. Peters, 82, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at his residence. He was born April 29, 1936 in Greenfield, the son of the late Lorin and Cecil (Chapman) Peters. Charlie retired from Delco-Remy in 1998 after 32 years of service.

He had also farmed in Hancock area for many years. He was a member of Hoosier Hills Metal Detecting Club. Charlie enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nancy (Cooney) Peters of Greenfield; four children, Charlotte Peters of North Carolina, Deborah (Tom) Madigan of Kettering, OH, Joe (Cindy) Peters of Greenfield and Rebecca (Don) Young of Knightstown; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Charles, Jr. “Chuck” and Warren Peters. Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, December 7, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor John Crisp officiating.

Burial will follow in Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia Society, 9075 N Meridian, Suite 150, Indianapolis, IN 46260.
