Obituary for Charles B “Bub” Weisel Charles B “Bub” Weisel, 81, passed peacefully at home on November 6, 2018 surrounded by his family. Born in Hightstown, Bub was an area resident his entire life. He was a graduate of the Hightstown High School Class of 1955.

After high school he worked for 40 years with Jersey Central Power & Light as a Lineman 1st Class. Bub also enjoyed his time working as an electrician for the East Windsor Speedway. He was a member of the Hightstown Apollo Lodge #41 F&AM and enjoyed fishing and being a part of the Mercer County Anglers Assoc.

, where he won several awards for his fishing skills. In his free time Bub loved wood carving and was well known for his many bird carvings. Predeceased by his parents, Charles D and Martha Ward Weisel, sister, Peggy Smautsek and brother, Larry Weisel; he is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Hand Weisel, three daughters and son’s in law, Charlotte and Chuck Lacorte, Pam and Will Mayerik and Heather and Chad Reed; five grandchildren, Amanda, Christopher, Amy, Andrew and Gregory; one great grandson, Michael; and many other extended family.

Friends are invited to celebrate Charles’s life with his family Sunday, November 11, from 11am to 1pm at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Charles’s name may be made to the Friends of Island Beach State Park, PO Box 406, Seaside Park, NJ 08752.
