Obituary for Charles Bearden Charles Raymond Bearden, of Rowlett, TX, passed away September 22, 2018, at the age of 86. He was born October 14, 1931, in Dallas, TX, to James A. and Dora (Pruitt) Bearden. An avid softball player, Charles was selected as All American in the National Softball Association Senior National Tournament.

He was a member of Trinity Life Baptist Church in Garland, TX, and an active member of the Aubrey Hope Masonic Lodge #1146 in Balch Springs, TX. Charles hosted many golf tournaments to benefit Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. He was a past president of the Teamsters Retiree Association and an avid Texas Rangers fan.

Charles will be remembered always and missed tremendously. Charles is survived by his loving wife: Patsy Bearden of Rowlett; sons: Terry Bearden and wife Veronica of Wylie, TX, and Gary Bearden and wife Angie of Rowlett; grandchildren: Joshua Bearden, Ashley Wilkinson; Jeremy Bearden, Christopher Bearden and Jennifer Blair; and great grandchildren: Brady Bearden, Karligh Akin, Kinsler Akin, Houston Bearden, Charlie Bearden and Mackenzie Wilkinson. Funeral services will be held 10:30am Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Trinity Life Baptist Church, 2030 Rowlett Rd.

, Garland, 75043, with Dr. Russell Rogers and Dr. Steve Leatherwood officiating. Interment will follow at 1:15pm at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy. , Dallas, 75211.

A gathering for family and friends will be held Tuesday evening at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rowlett Location from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
