Charles (Chuck) Ernest Freshwater, age 78, passed away on January 26, 2019 at home surrounded by family. He was born on June 4, 1940 in Steubenville, Ohio to Marguerite Anderson. Chuck lived in Southern California for 45 years before making his final home in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Chuck retired from the railroad after working there for more than 30 years. In his retirement years he was an avid golfer and Cubs fan. He took great pride in his annual tomato garden and refurbishing his classic 1966 Ford Falcon.

He is survived by his two children, Patricia Lynn (Mark) Roloff, Brian (Tracy) Freshwater, 4 grandchildren, Justin (Katie) Roloff, Joel Roloff, Cheyenne (Morgan) White, Lander Kern, and 5 great-grandchildren. Brother Ken Freshwater, 2 nephews and one niece. Step-Father, Joseph (Jack) Gibson and longtime friend and former wife Sondra Freshwater.
