Obituary for Charles “Chuck” King Bibby Print Mr. Charles “Chuck” King Bibby, 88, passed away Friday, February 08, 2019 at St. Andrews Living Center. He is preceded in death by his only sibling, Lowe H. “Buzz” Bibby III. Chuck’s memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev.

Lynn Keel. Following the service, the family will receive friends in the Fellowship House. Born on October 15, 1930 in Washington, D.C. to the late Lowe H. Bibby and Jeannette King Bibby, and a child of a Navy Captain, Chuck’s early life was spent living overseas, including China.

He attended St. Paul’s School in Maryland where he developed a lifelong passion for sports, especially football. Following high school, Chuck attended Washington & Lee as a Sigma Chi brother and played lacrosse. After graduating, he realized a long and successful sales career with Dupont and then Reynolds Metals; retiring in 2000.

Chuck maintained a parallel career as both a visual and voice actor; appearing in Bull Durham, many episodes of Matlock, and in the visitor’s introduction to The Billy Graham Library. Enjoying the outdoors, he camped with friends throughout the NC mountains, and golfed at every opportunity. Chuck is survived by his wife, Nancy Culbreath Bibby, his children Charles King Bibby, Jr., Carol Ann Leeman, Hutchinson Calhoun Bibby, and grandsons, Chris and Greg Leeman.
