OBITUARY Charles Clauss September 20, 1945 – September 13, 2018 Charles J. Clauss, 72, of Chicago passed away on September 13, 2018. Beloved husband of Margaret (Heimert) Clauss; proud father of Michael (Kathy) Clauss, David (Kellie) Clauss and Kimberly (Douglas) Manis; cherished grandfather of Nick, Tyler, Kristyn, Makayla, Douglas, Courtney, Kassandra and Jeremy. Favorite great grandfather of Xander; loving brother of David (Carol) CA, Dennis WA, and Jeff (Eve) Chicago; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews; admired son of the late Charles H. and Kathleen (Fabish) Clauss; darling son in law of the late Steffa and Nellie (Shoemaker) Heimert; adored pet parent of Forrest, Scooter and Phoenix.

He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 705 for 30 years, and a former National Trucking Rodeo Champion. A celebration of his life will be held on September 22, 2018 from 3pm to 8pm at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL 60016. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Faith Lutheran High School.

Charles has been a supporter of Faith Lutheran High School for over 12 years, in that time three of his grandchildren graduated. He attended many fundraisers and sporting events. Any donations can be sent to: Faith Lutheran High School, 174 McHenry Avenue, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
