OBITUARY Charles D. Henderson April 9, 1941 – December 6, 2018 Charles D. Henderson age 77 of Waynesburg passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born April 9, 1941 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Darrel and Beatrice Hughes Henderson. He was raised by the late Allen and Helen Jacobs and June and the late Dick Shriver.

On August 27, 1960 he married Linda Patton Henderson who survives. Mr. Henderson retired after working for 45 years as a mechanic. He worked for Park-Will Oldsmobile, Haney Olds, and John Howard Motor, all in Waynesburg.

He also worked for one year as a bricklayer’s helper during the construction of the Waynesburg fire hall. He was a Methodist by faith and a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 461 in Waynesburg. Chuck was a farmer at heart.

He raised sheep and cattle, and loved his Halflinger Ponies. He enjoyed helping his kids and grandkids in all of their 4-H projects. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter Judy (Rex) Nelson and a son Don (Gretchen) Henderson, all of Waynesburg; five grandchildren, Melinda (Rich) Ford, Dustin Henderson, Molly Cheek, Nick (Holly) Nelson, and Tyler (Brooke) Nelson; ten great-grandchildren, Kol, Aylah, Chloe, Camden, Louden, Lilly, Easton, Cooper, Hayden, and Emmett.

He also leaves behind his pony, Prince and his beloved golden retriever, Kelsey. Deceased in addition to his parents is a great-granddaughter, Stella Mae. Deceased are a great-granddaughter, Stella Mae; his parents, Darrel and Beatrice Hughes Henderson.
