Charles’ Obituary Charles “Darrell” Sponaugle was born in Baltimore, March 8, 1949 to the late Roche Elijah and Wanda Lee Sponaugle. A resident of Baltimore, Mr. Sponaugle coached softball in the community for many years. He also enjoyed playing bingo and the lottery, traveling, watching baseball, listening to country music, and cheering on the Baltimore Ravens.

Most of all he was a very family oriented man who cherished his time spent with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years Virginia Sponaugle, his children Shawn Corbin and husband Andy, Tammy Majka and husband Bernie, Tanya Calloway and wife Angie, sister Rochelle Ewell and husband Mark, grandchildren Ryan, Rachel, Isabella, Savannah, Luke, Victoria, Mackenzie, nephew Earl Williams, and 8 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved chihuahua Jackson, and numerous other friends and family.

Mr. Sponaugle passed away at Harbor Hospital on April 29, 2019 at the age of 70.
