Charles David McCormick October 07, 1952 – May 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Charles David McCormick, 66 of Green River, Wyoming passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at his home with his wife Kathy by his side. He was born on October 7, 1952 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the first son of Charles and Audrey McCormick. He attended schools in Land O’ Lakes, Wisconsin and was a graduate of Eagle River High School with the class of 1971.

He attended college at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater before entering the military in the fall of 1972, serving in Germany until 1974 and then entering the reserves. After his service, Charlie worked in the mining industry spending 27 years at Allied/General Chemical retiring in 2007. He married Kathy (Samson) Moody on January 19, 2001.

Charlie was a member of the American Legion Tom Whitmore Post 28 and Eagles Aerie #2350. His interests included the Green Bay Packers, camping, fishing, hunting, skiing, enjoying good food, a good beer or a good bourbon “neat”. Survivors include his wife, Kathy, parents Chuck and Audrey McCormick of Rock Springs, Wyoming, brother, Peter McCormick of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, sisters Cathy Justice of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Sandy (Bill) Chitwood of Boulder, Wyoming; His daughter Tabitha Buckmaster of Eagle River, Wisconsin, Ed (Amy) McCormick of Phelps, Wisconsin, grandchildren, Travis, Syrus, Ashley, Cloe and Ava of Wisconsin and numerous nieces and nephews, Bonus children, Sarah (Mike) Orham, Marbleton, Wyoming, Josh Moody, Gillette, Wyoming and bonus grandchildren Jasmine, Joshua, and Jordyn of Gillette, Wyoming,; also, a brother and sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, sister Connie LaFriske, nephew Clay Brisko, his wife’s parents, and brother-in-law, David Fackenthall, man’s best friends Blackie and Isabel. Cremation will take placce and there will be no services, however a wake will be celebrated later.
