Obituary for Charles “Ed” Edward O’Connor Charles Edward “Ed” O’Connor, age 98 of Royal Oak, Michigan passed away on November 11, 2018 in Troy, Michigan. He was born on October 19, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan to Charles Edward and Minnie O’Connor. Ed was predeceased by his wife, Shirley.

Loving Father of Carole Novak (Jan), Charles Edward O’Connor (Cathie), Cathleen Ellen O’Connor (Rick), Shelley O’Connor, Nancey O’Connor and Peggy O’Connor (Mike). Loving Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Great-Great-Grandfather to many grandchildren. Ed served in the U. S. Army for three years in World War II.

Ed worked for E & L Transport for many years. He was an avid woodworker and loved to refurbish furniture. He enjoyed doing yardwork, baking and spending time with this family.

In his kids opinion, he was the Best Dad Ever. Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 15th from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Friday, November 16th from 1:00 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 4:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block North of 13 Mile Road, West side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan.
