Charles Ernest West, 83, of Waynesboro, TN, passed away on December 08, 2018 at his residence. He was a member of Eagle Creek Fire Hall and Evan’s Chapel Methodist Church. He was a plant manager for Gray’s Concrete and Southern Ready Mix for 42 years.

Visitation and funeral service was at Greenview Funeral Home on Monday, December 10, 2018 officiated by Nolan Burns and Wayne Geans. Burial was at Buchannan Cemetery in Waynesboro, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Mary West; brother, Billy West; sister, Lois Moomaw and an infant brother.

Survivors include his wife, Emily Irene Poag West; daughters, Daphne Baer (Gerald) and Donna Thompson (Lee); brothers, David West, Larry West, and Jerry West; sisters, Faye Graves, Judy Gladney and Joyce Oakley; grandchildren, Dustin Henderson, Logan Baer, Colby Baer, Jaggar Thompson, Amanda Wieboldt, Kade Chastain and Dalton Chastain; great-grandchildren, Jackson Dean Baer, Isabella Wieboldt, Morgan Henderson, Hannah Henderson and Kyler Haddock. Serving as pallbearers will be Logan Baer, Jaggar Thompson, Wade West, Phillip West, Keith West, Colby Baer and Jim McClain. Justin West, Dalton Chastain, and Kyler Haddock will serve as honorary pallbearers.
