Charles Franklin Shelton, age 90, of Hurley, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019. He was born on June 22, 1928, in Fayette, MS, to Franklin and Letha Shelton. In 1948, he married Ruth Christine Bridges, in Jackson, MS.

Mr. Shelton proudly served his Country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He is survived by his children, Charles A. Shelton and wife Judy of Hurley, Diane Spicer and husband Howard of Escatawpa, and Donald Shelton of Hurley; 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Christine Shelton, and a son, Robin Shelton.

The family will receive friends at the Coastal Funeral Home Chapel, 12800 Hwy 613, Moss Point, MS, 39562, on Saturday, March 23rd, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Following visitation, a graveside service will be held at 11 AM, at Serene Memorial Gardens, next to the funeral home, with Pastor Robert Spicer, Jr. officiating. The family would like to thank Singing River Rehab and Palladium Hospice for their loving care.
