Charles G. Pencak, 69, of Vandergrift, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born July 22, 1949, in Vandergrift, he is the son of the late Andrew and June McCoy Pencak.

A veteran of the Army, having served during the Vietnam War, he had been employed by Eljers in Ford City as a kiln operator prior to retiring in 2004 after 20 years of employment. A member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Kensington, he had been a past-15-year member of the George G. McMurtry Volunteer Fire Department in Vandergrift. He enjoyed bowling, watching sports and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Cynthia Glacken Pencak, of Vandergrift; a son, Robert (Kelly) Pencak, of Allegheny Township; and a daughter, Steph Pencak, of Vandergrift; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Alison and Nathan Pencak; and two brothers, Richard (Marge) Pencak, of Ford City, and Don Pencak, of Parks Township. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew Pencak; and a sister, Patricia McIntyre. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m, Monday in the DUNMIRE-KERR AND ROWE FUNERAL HOME INC.

, 244 Franklin Ave. , Vandergrift, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with his Pastor, Alfred S. Petrill, officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
