LAVERY CHARTRAND ALARIO FUNERAL HOME 99 SUMMER ST. FITCHBURG, MA OBITUARY NOTICE Gardner: Charles H. Doody 76 of Gardener, MA passed away Tuesday February 26,2019 in Heywood Hospital, Gardener, MA. He was born in Fitchburg, MA April 23, 1942 son of Francis and E. Miriam (Hamalainen) Doody.

He has lived in Gardener, MA. for many years. He earned his degree at Worcester Jr. College and then went on to attend Northeastern University.

Charles worked as a mechanical engineer over 40 years for several paper manufacturers, James River, Weyerhauser, and Kimberly Clark to name a few. He retired in 2014. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and feeding his birds.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Karen T. (Hanks) Doody of Gardener, MA, his son Kreg Doody of Fitchburg, MA, a daughter Kristin Parlman and husband Ron of Acton, MA, his brother and sister-in-law Frank and Marlyn (Hanks) Pajari of Fitchburg, MA, his brother –in-law James Hanks of Fitchburg, MA, grandchildren, Hannah and Ashleigh Parlman and Carson and Cameron Doody, his nephew Erik Palo of Forest Ranch, California, and his cousin Anna Dower of Jaffrey, N.H. He was predeceased by a son Skky Mastersin. At his request there are no planned funeral services or calling hours.

Burial will be held later in the spring. The Lavery Chartrand Alario Funeral Home 99 Summer St. Fitchburg, MA is directing. Michael S. Alario , Director – Owner.
