Charles H. Grimes, 82, of Helena, died Saturday, December 08, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Tuesday, December 11, at Friendship Holiness Baptist Church with burial at Grimes Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, 6:00-8:00P.M. A native and lifelong resident of Wheeler County, Mr. Grimes was the son of the late Esker and Mary Anna Moore Grimes and was married to the late Frances Copeland Grimes.

He was a farmer and a member of Friendship Holiness Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughters, Diane (Stanley) Cravey of Brunswick, Sonja (Troy) Slaton and Brenda (Lee) Marsh, both of Alamo; brothers and sisters, Wendell Grimes of McRae, Linda Selph of Vidalia, Bobby Grimes of McRae and Carolyn Laughman of Macon; eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
