Hugh Edwards 76, Born in Decatur, AL to Charlie and Nelle Edwards on September 19, 1942. He graduated from Decatur High School in 1960. Hugh graduated from Florence State College (UNA) in 1965 with a degree in accounting.

Hugh was a businessman and owner of A Heavy Construction, a steel fabrication and erection company on the Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, and Gulf Coast. Hugh leaves to cherish his memory: His wife of thirty-six years Linda Edwards, two sons; “Chuck” Edwards of Auburn, AL, and Patrick Edwards of Trussville, AL, and six grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Decatur Meals on Wheels, or Joe Wheeler USC College Scholarship Fund.

Mail donations to 429 Jackson St. SE Decatur, AL 35601 Mr. Edwards will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date by Jackson Memory Funeral Home.
