Charles’ Obituary Charles Kirk Travis passed away on March 1, 2019 at his home in Largo, Florida. Kirk was born on November 18, 1949 to Jessie and Mildred Travis. He was a retired Air Force veteran and will be honored with a full military burial in Bay Pines National Cemetery on March 25, 2019.

Kirk was an outstanding musician and started singing with his identical twin brother, Kent Travis, at the age of three. In 1983, Kirk and his brother started a gospel group known as the Sounds of Victory and traveled throughout Southeast Texas and surrounding states for 15 years. He is survived by two children, Charlene Travis Howard of Diboll, Texas and James Travis of Gary, Texas; two grandchildren; two great grand children; and brothers Phil Travis and Kent Travis of Hemphill, Texas.
