Charles Percy Petty April 21, 1945 – April 28, 2019 Charles Percy Petty, 74 of Roanoke, VA passed away on Sunday April 28, 2019. Born in Hasting, Nebraska on April 21, 1945, he was a son of the late Othello Dean and Mamie Otella Petty. Charles, known to most as “Chuck” held a number of occupations over the years, but his passion was entrepreneurship.

Chuck fulfilled this lifelong goal of business ownership as the proprietor of Chuck’s Seafood and Grill, which he operated for 25 years. Chuck is survived by his wife Joyce Petty, as well as his children, Miyoshi Petty, Cercy (Phillip) Tinsley, and Selrahc Petty. He has eight grandchildren; Cedric, Sidney, Jasmine, Deville, Maya, Camille, Alani, and Donovan; as well as one great grandchild, Shanya.

He also leaves behind two brothers, Ernest (Millie) Petty, and Tyrone (Debra) Petty; and a sister, Brenda Petty Campbell, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday May 3, 2019 at 1pm at Serenity Funeral Home.
