OBITUARY Charles Richard Flowers February 23, 1939 – December 17, 2018 Charles R. Flowers, Sr, age 79, of Peoria, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2018 at 10:14 a.m. at his residence. He was born Feb.

23, 1939 in Springfield, IL to Clifton and Ruth (Behl) Flowers. He married Jeannette Schultz on Sep. 12, 1957 in Springfield, IL.

She passed away June 14, 1993 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by his step-father George Withers, one son, three brothers, four sisters, and one granddaughter. Survivors include six daughters: Pam (Brian) Burton of Mapleton, Katherine (Jim) Kranos of Mapleton, Cindy (Ed Scoby) Flowers of Elmwood, Ruth (Phillip) Porter of El Paso, Polly (John) Cady of Bartonville, Toni (David) Morrison of Hanna City, one son, Charles Richard (Candy) Flowers, Jr, of Peoria, 24 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one brother, Clifton Flowers of Mississippi, a very close friend, Esther Bugg of Peoria, and several nieces and nephews.

Charles worked at Keystone Steel and Wire retiring March 13, 1997. Charles loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Buck. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, and talking on Facebook.

He was in a CB club for many years and went by the name “Peoria Agitator”. Funeral services will be Friday Dec. 21, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in in Lutheran cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Kidney Foundation.
