He was previously employed at Shoney’s Restaurant and attended Belleview Baptist Church in Paducah. He is survived by two sons; Jeremiah Allen and Joseph R. Allen both of Paducah; six grandchildren; five sisters; Lenora Jarmon, St. Louis, MO; Savannah Simmons, Gloria Allen both of Memphis, TN; Abadean Jackson, Paducah, KY; Lena Brooks, Murfreesboro, TN; six brothers; Curtis Bond, Mansfield, OH; John Coffie Jr., Flint, MI; James Allen and Ray Allen both of Paducah, KY; Elijah Allen, Metropolis, IL; McArthur Allen, Atlanta, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie Allen and Corine Lacy Allen, three brothers and one sister. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, March 4, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may also call at the funeral home from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
