Charles V. Hanson, 92, of McDonough, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at the NYS Veteran’s Home, Oxford, NY. Mr. Hanson was born in Syracuse, NY, on January 16, 1927, the son of the late George and Maude Vader Hanson. A longtime resident of the area, he was a self-employed dairy farmer in German for many years.

He proudly served in the Army Air Corps during WWII from 1945 to 1949 where he attained the rank of corporal and was a member of the American Legion Post #1478, McDonough, NY. He is survived by his sons, Paul Hanson of Baldwinsville, Gary Hanson of Afton, and David (Deborah) Hanson of West Eaton. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.
