Charles’ Obituary Charles Walker, 68 of Gibbs, Missouri passed away Monday (April 30, 2019) at his home. The son of Wilford “Jack” and Opal (Pipes) Walker, he was born December 13, 1950 in Kirksville, Missouri. On November 18, 1981 in Kirksville he was united in marriage to Cheryl Young.

Charles is survived by his children, Ashley Norfolk and husband John of Catawissa, MO and Tracy Berger and husband Mark of Cedar Hill, MO; two grandchildren, Alex East and Wyatt Norfolk; and two sisters, Sharon Hatcher of Kirksville and Kathy Adams of Kirksville. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Patricia Fredman. Charles grew up in Green City, Missouri.

He served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1972 during the Vietnam War. Most of his life he worked as a logger. He later worked for Collins Rental in the Home Care Medical Equipment business.

He enjoyed fishing and getting together with friends. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday (May, 1, 2019) at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. No service will be held.

Memorials are suggested to his daughter Ashley Norfolk.
