OBITUARY Charles William Scott April 24, 1927 – December 12, 2018 Charles W. Scott, 91, of Crawford, Texas, passed away peacefully from this temporary life on earth to be with our Lord in Heaven, at Baylor-Scott and White, Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018, St. Paul Memorial Park with Reverend Jeff Gravens officiating. Mr. Scott was born on April 24, 1927 to Charles Wayne Sloan and Roxie Adeline (Scott) in Pittsburg, Texas.

He joined the US Army January 1946. After boot camp, at Ft. Knox, Kentucky, he proudly served his remaining tour of duty in Germany until his honorable discharge in July 1947.

After returning from service, he attended Austin College, in Sherman, Texas, then began his career in the aircraft industry at Convair, located in Fort Worth, which is now known as Lockheed-Martin. He changed careers and joined the United States Postal Service until retirement in 1998. Charles was married to his devoted wife, Virginia Alexander for 63 years.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Scotty James Scott. Those left to proudly remember him are his wife, Virginia; daughter, Pamela LaSalle and husband, John. Charles will be dearly missed by all.
