Obituary for Charlie G. Garcia Charlie G. Garcia, 91, of Cheyenne died August 29 at the V.A. nursing home in Cheyenne. He was born Nov. 22, 1926, in Wagon Mound New Mexico to John Garcia and Fidela Garcia (Sanchez).
Charlie proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is survived by his children: Linda (Ed) Hollingsworth, Susan (Max) Barela, Charlene Garcia, Chris (Donna) Garcia; grandchildren, Dawn Barela, Roman Griego, Kristin Griego, Camille Garcia; great-grandchildren, Andrew Rodriguez, Anthony Rodriguez, and R.J. Griego. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Viola Solano, Lucille Gomez, and grandson Tommy Hollingsworth.
Vigil for the deceased will be at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, Wednesday, September 5th at 6pm. Funeral Liturgy will be Thursday September 6th at Holy Trinity at 10AM. Burial of urn with Military honors will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
