Charlotte is the loving and adored Aunt and Great-Aunt to many Nieces and Nephews who were blessed by her grace and wit throughout their lives. Charlotte was born to Charles and Isabella (nee Wilson) Schramm July 15, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the last surviving sibling of ten, Emil, Larry, Eleanor, Kenny, Richard, Ivadell, Roy, Phyllis and Robert.

As a child in Southwest Detroit she enjoyed Christmas at all of her Aunt’s houses, as they each made a special Christmas cookie for the kids. The occasional nickel she received from her Dad to go to the local penny candy store. Charlotte married her first love Ted, a Marine home from WWII, and soon their family had blossomed with four children.

She spent some time working at Sear’s in Lincoln Park in the late 50’s and early 60’s. Charlotte and Ted, along with many of her siblings enjoyed Friday night dinners followed by card games and maybe an adult beverage or two. Many of them even retired to Florida together in the same park to continue their fun and games.

After Char lost her love Ted, she later was swept off her feet by a dashing gentlemen, Everett. He also a widower, the two went on to spend many years together, he always treated Char, like the lady she was to all of her family. Charlotte was gracious, beautiful, quick with wit, strong, independent, stubborn, but most of all she loved her family with all of her heart and all of her soul, she will be missed by us all.
