Cheryl A. (McCullough) Smock, 63, of Cabot, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia in Cabot, on Friday, February 8, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 24, 1955 in Natrona Heights to the late Raymond and Loretta (Leoni) McCullough. Cheryl was a 1973 graduate of Highlands High School.

She worked at McCullough’s Florist, which was a family owned business, Moonlight Mushroom Mine and Sylvan Research Lab. Besides spending time with her family and friends, her passions were her granddaughters, her faith, cooking, painting, reading, fishing, making wine, beekeeping , vacationing at the beach and taking care of her dogs, Bella and Copper. Cheryl had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed help.

She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life. Cheryl was happily married to Gerald Smock who was her partner in life for 43 years. Cheryl is also survived by her two sons, Jason (Melissa) Smock and Michael Smock; granddaughters, McKenna and Michaela; brothers, Terry McCullough, J. Christopher McCullough and Rick McCullough; sisters, Cindy (Dan) Smith, Lynne (Kenneth) Baughman and Beth Ann Townsend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joel and by her nephew Shawn. Friends will be received on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 2-4, 6-8 PM in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held on Wednesday , February 13, 2019 at 9:15 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in St. Mary, Mother of God Church, Freeport with the Rev.
