Cheryl Ann Frank-Allen, 59, a Student Benefits Representative at Fashion Institute of Technology for eleven years, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a cousin . . .

transitioned on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn. Cheryl was born on September 12, 1958 to Leroy Frank and (the late) Christann Bivens-Frank at Beth Israel Hospital in Manhattan, New York. She has one sister, Karyn Frank, and two brothers: Vernon Frank and Charles Frank.

Cheryl earned her Associate’s degree from Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn. She worked for Bank One as a Chief Financial Officer for about thirty years, then decided to retire and move on to the educational field. She started working for the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2006.

Cheryl was a warm, loving, nurturing woman — the strongest woman of her kind. She was a tenacious person who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. She had a genuine relationship with everyone she loved.

She was a social butterfly. She was a kind-hearted music lover who supported everyone. Her personality was infectious, and she touched many souls.

Whether you were young or old, family or a friend, her cool demeanor along with her warm spirit always made you feel connected to her. Cheryl loved to laugh. She had a comedic flair that was undeniable.

Music, baking and family were Cheryl’s favorite pastimes. She was known for having a let’s-make-a-deal kind of pocketbook. Cheryl loved traveling, visiting family and collecting music.

Cheryl leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Joseph Allen; her two brothers: Vernon Frank and Charles Frank; her sister Karyn Frank; her sisters-in-law: Rosline Frank and Iris Frank; her nephews: Vernon Frank, Jr. and Charles Frank, Jr.; her niece Christina Frank; her goddaughters: Clairisse Malone and Troi Dixon; her adopted sisters: Nerline Mathe and Fisch Eleanor; and a host of cousins, other relatives, colleagues and friends. She now joins the ancestral ranks along with her mother, Christann Frank and brother-in-law Eric Knox. Cheryl will be most remembered for her kindness, strength, honesty, unconditional loyalty, and the joy of being a loving wife, daughter, sister, cousin and friend.

The memories of Cheryl will live forever and be filled with joy, laughter and peace!
