Obituary for Mrs. Cheryl Rae Whitehead Cheryl Rae Whitehead, age 64, of East Bethel, MN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. She was born October 21, 1953 in Minneapolis, MN to Fritz and Carol Anderson. She was a 1972 graduate of Coon Rapids High School.
After High School, Cheryl attended Anoka-Ramsey Community College. Cheryl married Jesse Whitehead on November 16, 1975 in Coon Rapids, MN. She worked as a Production Planner at Minco in Fridley, MN, for the past 15 years, spoke highly of her colleagues and took pride in her work.
Prior to Minco, she worked at the Bureau of Engraving in Minneapolis for about 30 years. Cheryl was a kind and beautiful soul, known for her contagious laugh, selflessness and loved giving joy to others, especially during Christmas, her favorite holiday. She enjoyed supporting her son’s sports teams, camping and fishing with her husband, Jesse, baking with her sisters, and most recently, being a loving Grandmother.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, Fritz and Carol Anderson, her sister, Christen (“Chris”) Anderson, her mother-in-law Mary Kay Whitehead, and her husband, Jesse (“Jess”) Whitehead. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, Matthew Whitehead (Tara Arens) and Nicholas (Marie) Whitehead, and her grandchildren Samuel, Zosia, Elouise, and Theodore. Cheryl is also survived by her sisters Caryn (Leonard) Inderlee and Cathy (Randy) Stenstrom, father-in-law Russell Whitehead and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Cheryl touched are invited to Washburn-McReavy Robbinsdale Funeral Chapel, 4239 West Broadway, Robbinsdale, MN 55422 on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 4:00– 7:00 PM for visitation service to reminisce and grieve. There will also be a Celebration of Life Reception for family and friends on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Dellwood Country Club, 29 East Highway 96, Dellwood, MN 55110 (651-426-3218).
