Chester B. Bryant, age 80 years, 3 months and 10 days, passed away Sunday, December 02, 2018 at Steelville Senior Living. He was born August 23, 1938 in Keysville, Missouri to Horace Ervin Bryant and Margie Freeman Bryant. In the year 1966, he was united in marriage to Betty Jean Bobbitt.

Chester was baptized in the Cherryville Baptist Church and was a member. He worked as a timber jack in the area for many years. Chester had several activities that he enjoyed such as fishing, gigging, hunting, playing pool, cards and Bingo along with shuffleboard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Bryant; son-in-law, Jimmy Davis; one grandson, Samuel; three brothers, Willard Bryant and wife Deloris, Earl Bryant and wife Ilene and Fred Bryant; one sister, Berniece Roberts; two brothers-in-law, Norman Eaton and William Leach. Chester is survived by his children, Bonita Bryant-Waldner of Cuba, MO, Tony Bryant of Steelville, MO, Joyce Bobbitt McGuire of Viburnum,, MO, Tina Stephens and husband James of Leasburg, MO, Rhonda Schuler and husband Art of Florissant, MO and Lisa Davis of Steelville, MO; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Margie Eaton and Rosie Leach both of Steelville, MO; other relatives; and friends. The Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Committal prayer and interment will be in the Davisville Cemetery.

Honored to be casket bearers will be Jason Bryant, Sean Schuler, Scott Schuler, Austin Stephens, Darren Stephens and Christy Hemby. The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
