Obituary for Chester Crichfield Chester M. Crichfield Chester M. Crichfield passed away peacefully December 28, 2018 in Barrett Hospital and Healthcare surrounded by his family. Chet was born to Theron and Gladys Crichfield on October 13, 1921 in Vanada, MT. He had one brother, Russell.

Chet married Grace E. Nichols on June 3, 1941 in Baker, MT. Chet served on an aircraft carrier in the US Navy at Kwajalein Island and worked for Consolidated. He, his wife and children settled in Dillon, MT after purchasing the local pool hall in 1948.

He later went to work for Davis Electric eventually buying and operating the business until his son Jack took over upon his retirement. He and his wife enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing with friends and family whenever possible. Chet worked hard all his life, saw the good in every situation and tried to encourage the same in others.

Chet was preceded in death by his loving wife of 74 years Grace Crichfield, his brother Russell Crichfield, son Jack Crichfield and son-in-law Ron Wagner. Survivors include daughter Jeri Lynn Wagner, daughter-in-law Cathy Weber, grandchildren Brad Wagner, Brenda (Brad) Zink, Rio Weber-Crichfield, and great grandchildren John and Colter Zink. No services will be held per Chet’s request.
