SMOTHERS, Mr. Chris Monroe – age 61, passed away, Sunday, May 19, 2019 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Oakland. Family hour 10:30AM Saturday, May 25, 2019 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 North Perry Street, with funeral service commencing immediately at 11:00AM. Family and Friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Saturday.

Mr. Smothers will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 1:00-8:00PM Friday. Mr. Smothers leaves to cherish his memory: siblings, Bruce Smothers, Jesse Smothers, Jr., James (Dianne) Smothers, Della and Herbert Smothers; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends including special friends, Jese Hunt, Derrick Teamer and Cedric O. Edwards. Mr. Smothers was preceded in death by his parents, Shelia and Jesse Smothers, Sr and brother, Alonzo Smothers.
