Obituary for Christian Henry Friedrich Funeral services for Christian Friedrich will be held Thursday January 3rd at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mazeppa. The Reverend Alan Horn will officiate. Burial will follow at the Mazeppa Cemetery.

Mr. Friedrich, 77, of Zumbrota passed away peacefully Monday December 31st at Weatherstone Senior Living in Rochester. Visitation will be Wednesday January 2nd from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Larson Chapel, in Zumrota, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Christian Henry Friedrich was born December 30, 1941 to Christ and Clara (Hinrichs) Friedrich.

On September 9, 1961 he married Diane L. Larson at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mazeppa. Chris first worked at the Zumbrota Creamery. On October 15, 1967 he started Friedrichs Dairy Supply, selling, installing, and servicing De Laval Dairy equipment for almost 40 years.

From this venture he won several trips. In addition to the above mentioned business he began farming in 1977. Chris was a family man, spending much time with his wife and children.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and going to Treasure Island. Chris is survived by his wife of 57 years, Diane; son Tony (Julie Everly and her children Spencer and Stephanie) Friedrich; daughters Lisa (Dennis) Paulson, and Luana Friedrich; brothers Wayne (Sandy), and Larry (Deanna); sisters Lorraine (Chuck) Peterson, Sharon Booth, and Linda Womack; brother-in-law Kelly (Joyce) Larson; sisters-in-law Carol Friedrich, Elaine Friedrich, and Betty Hedberg. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a half-sister Gladys, a half-brother Alton, a sister Eleanor, five brothers Luverne, Art, Gordon, Don, and Orville; brothers-in-law Philip Smith, John Booth, John Womack, Vail Hall, Dan Hedberg, and Wayne Zimmermann; and sisters-in-law Betty, Barbara, and Dianna Friedrich, Donna Hall, and Lorraine Zimmermann.
